Hopefully Jim and Thurman Kelly return in Madden 22! Just if they drop Shockey, Burress, Herschel Walker, Everson Walls, as well as Sam Madison too. Seriously though, it's mad they only include 80 or so legends every year if they might easily double or triple that and also have us going crazy from a content perspective Madden 22 coins. It certainly would help distract from the gameplay shortcomings. We receive our favorites one year when they will return and then who knows.

It's about rights and however the contracts operate. I'd assume that is the reason why we don't get them from year to year consistently and the majority of these legends are on one year deals. Who knows what the real reasons are, perhaps a participant asks a lot of or EA is lowballing their deal on the rights. But I believe for the most part with adding former players, they do a good job. I was really super surprised and excited over the Theme Diamonds 1 and two with how many cool players we got. But you're right, it would be good to have even more.

You're right, I have no doubt that licensing plays a variable, but LT and Deion Sanders have been in this match EVERY year. Yes they are all-time greats and it would not be Ultimate Team without them, but my purpose is using a player year after year after year is certainly possible. Also, if I am not confused NBA 2K has hundreds of legendary and historical players (do not play 2K so this is what I have heard, please correct me if I'm wrong) so why isn't the NFL's only game doing exactly the same thing? Their rights have been lumped in together with the NFLPA or they are on 10 year bargains or something. We don't know.

As for NBA, they just have the rights to any and all former players due to how the NBA participant union/group/association worksthey don't need"rights" to past players. With NFL they're separate entities and every participant that is non-current is a contract they need to have and pay out. I had been hoping the NFLPA would do something similar for a while. In the absence of such an arrangement I thing EA would be sensible to set up a royalty arrangement for it's Likeness deals that ties in participant use in lineups to compensation for your player. So for example if participant x is on 75 percent of MUT rosters they are get a specific amount, if they're on 50% a different level, etc.. That way you can have both players and fan favorites in the sport every year without anyone that is underpaying or over.

I believe that for sure. I'm mostly a Giants fan, but because of living in Denver, I have a soft spot for the Broncos too and I like to try and operate a TT with the Giants and Broncos. Getting Atwater and TD was amazing last year but it sucks not knowing if/when they'll ever be back. Notably bc in my view, outside of the CBs, Peyton's X Factor and Elway (after he obtained the PUE), the Broncos TT sucked this year. Outside of their corners, the Giants were but who knows if that will happen next 24, a TT this year buy Mut 22 coins. I'm rambling, but long story short my view is teams with as extensive a history as the Giants and Broncos should have sufficient legends to be competitive TTs every year.
